MOBILE TRAINING TEAM: As our company grows in scope and responsibility, we will continue to build our team with trainers who have earned their place on our training team through hundreds of hours of study, training, courses and seminars.

Tony Torres served in the US Navy for 9 years where he served as a Search & Rescue Swimmer and on the Nuclear Weapons Security Team. He was part of Physical Security for Atlantic Fleet Headquarters as well as their DT Instructor.

After the Navy, Mr. Torres served as a police officer for 12 years with the Virginia Beach Police Department. His law enforcement experience includes Plainclothes Special Enforcement Unit, Mobile Tactics Team (Assistant Team Leader), Background Investigator, Community Policing Team as well as Defensive Tactics & Fitness Instructor for the Academy and In-service training. Mr. Torres was also a Virginia Division of Criminal Justice Services General and Defensive Tactics Instructor as well as a Court Recognized Use of Force and Defensive Tactics Expert Witness.

From 2002-2003 he was a lead instructor at Blackwater Training Center for the U.S. Navy's Anti-Terrorism Warfare Development Group teaching CQB & force-on-force. From 2003-2005 Mr. Torres worked for Blackwater Security Consultants in Iraq as Team Leader and Tactical Commander for various protective service teams including Ambassador Bremer detail, Ambassador Kosnett detail and a QRF/CAT/Convoy team.

Mr. Torres has been involved with the S.P.E.A.R. SYSTEM since 1999 and has used S.P.E.A.R. tactics and research in both the street and in court. He is S.P.E.A.R. SYSTEM certified, a HIGH GEAR Simulation System Instructor and Ballistic Micro-Fight Certified. Mr. Torres now teaches full-time for Blauer Tactical Systems. John (JT) Goodman has been a police officer with High Point PD, North Carolina for over 17 years. During that time has worked in many facets of law enforcement including 16 years as a SWAT operator and 7 years on Vice/Narcotics as a Street Narcotics Enforcement officer. During that period, John ran point on over 350 search warrants on known drug houses. Mr. Goodman is now the Assistant Commander of the SWAT Team as well as Lieutenant on a Patrol team within his Department.

Mr. Goodman is certified by the North Carolina Law Enforcement Training and Standards Commission as a subject control and arrest techniques instructor. The Department has utilized him as an expert in use of force to review uses of force within the Department. Mr. Goodman has also developed the HPPD DT program.

After his professional association with Blauer Tactical Systems (BTS) in April of 2002, Mr. Goodman implemented the S.P.E.A.R. SYSTEM into his agency’s DT curriculum. Mr. Goodman is a lead instructor for Blauer Tactical. He is S.P.E.A.R. SYSTEM certified and has graduated BTS’s Weapon Protection, Ballistic Micro-Fight, Confined Space Combatives and Personal Defense Readiness programs. Aside from his duties at High Point PD, John also travels the country teaching and assisting on various law enforcement and military courses offered by Blauer Tactical Systems.
